The Sinaloa science department will be emphasizing the common core standards throughout the year incorporating collaboration, creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, and communication.

In 7th grade science, students will be investigating the scientific method and principles of life science.  Students will study cellular biology, genetics, invertebrates, vertebrates, and botany comparing these with the human body systems.

In 8th grade science, students will be studying chemistry, physics, and astronomy.  At the end of the year, students will dissect a shark tying together the skills of observation comparing the shark and human anatomy in preparation for high school science.
