Annual Costume Contest

Halloween costume rules —

The following are some guidelines for costumes that all schools in NUSD will be requiring students to adhere to:

• Costumes may be worn to school (please note, the school is not responsible for torn or otherwise damaged costumes)
• Costumes must be in good taste and appropriate for school and must follow school dress code
• Costumes must not promote violence, including excessive fake blood and/or gory costumes
• Weapons (guns, swords, bombs, etc.) and blatant messages of violence must be left at home
• For safety reasons, masks (non-COVID necessary) may only be worn prior to the start of school, during Break time, and after school, and must be removed upon staff request
• Costumes are optional
• Any items brought to school that are not permitted will be held safely in the office for a parent/guardian to pick-up
• Absolutely no clown or jester costumes will be permitted
